About the Foundation...
The Elmworth School and Community Foundation is an organization of local residents who work together to support the communities around Elmworth. Through their fundraising and organizational efforts, they create and maintain a sense of community in this tiny, isolated corner of the Peace Country. As well as providing support for Elmworth School, the foundation helps to support the Mountainview Curling Rink and the Elmworth Community Library.
Beginning in 2009, the foundation will be accepting applications for the Elmworth Student Bursary. By providing this scholarship, the foundation hopes to assist Elmworth and area students in reaching their post-secondary goals. Students who attended junior high in Elmworth are eligible to apply.
The School and Community Foundation also exists to promote the communities of Elmworth, Rio Grande, and Hinton Trail, three communities with big hearts. They wish to show that the southwest corner of the County of Grande Prairie is a wonderful place to live, work, and grow.
