The hamlet of Elmworth is truly the hub of community for the residents of Elmworth, Hinton Trail, and Rio Grande. "Blink and you'll miss it" they say, and they might be right. But don't let the size of Elmworth fool you. Although the only buildings are the school, the curling rink, the store, and a few houses, Elmworth is huge in spirit.
Elmworth School provides a top notch academic schooling for Grades K- 9, but offers much more than that. Virtually all children play on the sports teams, from Basketball and Volleyball to Badminton and Track where they learn team play, sportsmanship and work ethic. Our little teams always do well in competition with every child developing their athletic potential. The "family" atmosphere of the small school builds cooperation, empathy and great citizens. The School also houses a Community Library, a Playschool, Adult Volleyball club, as well as an Outdoor Skating Rink, playground, and numerous ball diamonds for community use.
