Rio Grande
The Rio Grande area is located to the west of Elmworth and has grown up around the Red Willow River. Here, you will find the last settlements en route to the Monkman Pass, an untamed area with excellent hunting, fishing, camping, quadding, sledding, and hiking.
The Rio Grande Hall hosts a variety of family potlucks, Christmas and Halloween Parties as well as New Years and other dances for grown-ups. The Rio Grande Rodeo Association has a history to match the Calgary Stampede and holds two major rodeos per year. An active church congregation attends bi-weekly services at the Rio Grande Church.
